Each slot has a preset character which you can edit and rename as you like. In the Extra Slots menu, the Select button will allow you to view a character when you click on them while the Switch button will allow you to rearrange the order of the characters. There are 20 character slots available, with 8 of those slots on display and another 12 that can be accessed by clicking on the Slots button.
